Monday

Well it's Monday evening and we finished dinner and back at the camp. The boys started off this morning bright and early with waffles and cereal at 7:30. The breakfast was edible but just barely. Merit badge class started at 9 and the boys scattered to their classes. The leaders spent the morning shadowing the boys making sure they found all of their classes and taking pictures. Everyone seems to be having a great time with no signs of home sickness (yet!). The afternoon came and we were greeted with something that was supposed to be hamburger, fries and cookies. There was no taste just substance. After lunch the boys found their remaining classes and could be found scurrying from place to place like water bottles and books trailing behind. The evening meal was burritos, re-fried beans, chips and strawberry jello. I have to say that after 3 summer camps that by far was the worst meal I have ever had! It only took a few minutes after dining with all of that consumed explosive power kids and adults were seen running to the nearest porcelain thrones they could find. Lets just tonight we are going to make sure there are no open flames that could be set off due to enormous amounts of methane gas.

Now its in the evening and kids are burning off energy playing games, fishing, playing in the creeks. They will take showers and start getting ready for lights out at 10:30pm. We have not had any rain and its been hot during the days and cool at nights. Great sleeping weather.

I hope everyone is enjoying reading this blog and everyone says hi!

Stay tuned tomorrow for another exciting update.

Thanks for the update. I hope you and the others packed some Pepto. I promise to have a home cooked meal waiting on the table for you and our boys on Sunday. Are you able to download some pictures soon? Tell the boys we said hello.

Love you very much,
Me, Lily and Ryan

Oh no. I forgot that the boys always complained about the food at Rainy Mountain. Love the camp and counselors and hate the cooking.
